Samsung Galaxy Mini Rivals High End Smartphones

It seems that Samsung cannot wait any more for the launch of its new phones after it officially announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Mini. It was expected that phone will be announced officially at the Mobile World Congress, but this phone has been now made official by the company. It is certainly not the high-end smart phone by any means and it could be one of the reasons why Samsung chose to not unveil it at the Mobile World Congress that this fully expected to be having a number of high-end smart phones. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Mini is expected to be a mid-range smartphone, it shows no signs of weakness and can be compared with the likes of the HTC Desire and so on.

The phone does have limited features only, but that is certainly not a problem because it is going to be priced lower when compared to the competition. The phone will be having a 3.14 inch touch screen display that is capable of 240 x 320 pixels resolution. It boasts of accelerometer and a proximity sensor within it for better usage of the touch screen display. It has to be said that most phones in this segment use only the resistive display technology for their screens. However, Samsung has generally given the best features that make the phone look extremely upmarket. It is also the case once again with the Samsung Galaxy Mini, which has a capacitive touch screen display.

The phone will be running on the legendary TouchWiz user interface, which is a signature effect of Samsung phones. However, this new Samsung phone will be running on the latest 3.0 version, which will come as a surprise to many because there are plenty of Samsung phones that are priced much higher, but do not have this version. The phone will be having a 3.15 megapixel camera that is not obviously rich in terms of features, but can certainly do the job when called upon to. The camera has video recording option as well and the presence of Geotagging option is to be the only extra feature in the camera.

The phone will be priced in the mid-range smartphone segment, but looking at the connectivity features at its disposal, it certainly does not feel so because it has a lot of connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 2.1, micro-USB version 2.0 and so on. The 3G connectivity option in the Samsung Galaxy Mini represents the pinnacle of connectivity features in the phone. The presence of stereo FM radio in the phone adds to the lots of multimedia options in the phone. The use of the android 2.2 operating system that is being powered by the 600 MHz processor makes the Samsung Galaxy Mini one of the best phones in this segment when it comes to operating system alone. As mentioned previously, this phone was expected to be launched at the Mobile World Congress, but Samsung has surprisingly launched it now.
