The European version of the N85 is already a quad band (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) GSM mobile, so all that was required for this new version was the addition of North American 3G compatibility (850, 1900, 2100 MHz).
This smart phone is being sold unlocked, and it can be used by customers of AT&T, Rogers, and other GSM carriers.
