Motorola Atrix Review - To Be Released Q1 2011

The Motorola Atrix is a media centric Android phone with 1gb of DDR2 Ram which is basically as fast as a normal low-end laptop or netbook.

Motorola is offering an additional "dock" which looks expensive and allows you to use different apps directly through the "dock" display.

There is also a remote control which comes with the dock, which is the first time i have seen a cell phone with a remote control. What's Next? A cell phone with a pre-installed foot massager?

The Motorola Atrix will be one of the fastest phones on the market and will be available in Q1 from AT&T but pricing is not yet known. Motorola says pricing will be "competitive" but that remains to be seen.

It looks cool but the pricing will ultimately determine whether this phone is worth buying over other models such as the iPhone 4.

For wireless users who are more concerned with media, it might be a good option over the new iPhone 4. Although i am not sure if that is the case for cell phone owners looking for more business related applications.

The great thing about Motorola is that every now and then they have a "superstar" cell phone which outshines the rest. Will the Motorola Atrix be the next Startac, Razr, Q or Droid?

I personally don't think so. iPhone seems to have a strong hold on wireless media enthusiasts. Apple has this trend of waiting for competitors to launch there best devices and then launch something years ahead of it's time. I gather Apple is working on something big to put the Atrix and other rivals to shame. Maybe an iPhone 5 is on the way?

Either way, time will only tell. We'll wait for Q1 to see what happens. Stay tuned.
